About Me
What is Tefilaseinu?
Tefilaseinu aims to convey Avodas Hatefilah in a relatable and tangible way for both beginners and seasoned individuals
Knowing how to pray is not necessarily related to how much one knows. A person can be well-versed in many schools of thought, theologies, and different meditations, yet still be ignorant when it comes to prayer. To know how to pray, you must first learn how to pray.
We believe that authentic Avodas Hatefilah is not just a thing of the past. Even today, a Jew can daven as Chassidus Chabad truly demands.
We present a brand new curriculum we have created. It includes translations for every phrase in davening, Chassidishe Pirush Hamilos, historical background for each Tefillah, the flow and connection between all the paragraphs, stories and lessons from our Rabbeim and Chassidim about the importance of davening, and much more!
Some parts are taken from existing collections and edited or rewritten for beginners as well as seasoned worshippers, while other parts are written specifically for this initiative.
The project was piloted for Shiur Alef Mesivta in New Haven (9th grade). It was then introduced to several main Chabad camps, catering to children of all ages. Finally, through our partnership with Chayenu, the curriculum is now available to the public for everyone to enjoy and benefit from.
